Woke up super-duper early yesterday, washed up, and ate my breakfast really fast. I was hit with euphoria first thing in the morning. It was the first time, in my almost 18 years of living that I am going to a Swimming Complex(I know!!!). It was exciting, but at the same time, daunting. Before i go on, there is this tiny bit of confession I have to make first; I didn't know how to swim.
Really. I know.
Okay, you can stop rolling your eyes now.
Now back to the story.
And so we had a very long Bus ride(mine was an hour, hers was two!!!) from Tampines thru Punggol, and finally took the train(NEL) to Sengkang. We were euphoric the whole long way ! It is nice to take your minds off school and work, yknow.
My Sweets had Nasi Lemak for breakfast while I linger around Sengkang Leisure thingy place's 7-11. I forgot the name of the place. Oh wells.
Now the fun part.
I learnt how to swim!!
I was reluctant to enter the cold, dark, gooey-like and scary waters initially. Let me tell you, it was honestly COLD. For the next 3 hours, I held my breath, did ''THE EGG'', and observed the many smiling faces in the swimming compound. It probably is the best 3Hours I can remember. It was totally really FUN. tHERE WERE fUNNer things, though(hahaha, you). I played the slide also, and thru the tunnel of fear, I held my breath until my body finally plunged into the light at its end and into the warm waters(outdoors).
There were so many things happening.
One thing for sure is that I have a new hobby now. Swimming. Thank you, Sweets.
till then, I await the the day I next visit Sengkang.
Hobey ho, Blue Waters. I shall plunge into you next time with glad grace.
And by the way, did I tell you I beat my Sweets 7 times at ''THE EGG''. =p
'Right People, Time to plunge.
Lights Out.
Splash!!
