Stress

You know what they say about JC life being stressful, and POLY life being more slack and chilled out?
Well, i am still sort of waiting for an answer for the latter. For the former, though, I find it pretty close to the truth.
Let me tell you a typical JC day:
You assemble at 7.50 and your first lesson starts at 0810hrs. This can either be a lecture or a tutorial. If you are lucky, it'll be tutorial. If you aren't, then a tedious lecture for you.
We have our break at 1010am. And continue our lessons half an hour later. The study time then drags on till 1210 where you have your lunch break. Ilyas is doing a strict diet regime in an attempt to slim down, so he doesn't eat during lunch. And me being a really good friend, accompany him in Libraria, our school's library.
Okay. Libraria is my favourite place in school.
They have this plushy couches and really cozy chairs and a just-right condition that can put you on doze mode anytime. Plus, the racks are filled with arrays of brilliantly written(Ilyas argues about Stephenie Meyer having a place in it).
When the bell rings at 1310, we all proceed to our tutorials.
For a few more hours it is all rigorous studying. You listen, jot down, annotate, ask, answer, laugh at some laughable jokes, listen again, and read. That is all you do. Or most of it.
Tutorials are more fun because you can talk more and actually engage in some sort of a debate with the teacher if you want to justify your thoughts or perspectives. Teachers there love it. They call it intellectual argument.
And we argue a lot.
But there is mutual respect, ofcourse.
Duh.
Alright. Then the final bell rings, and we all flood out of our tutorial classes, and make our way home.
The End. (at 1640)
Not really.
We have CCAs on Wednesdays.
2 hour session.
Every week.
Yup.
But hey, amidst all those stressful things, there are, ofcourse, things to look forward to.
JC life is really fun, it helps you in preparation for University life and it broadens your perspective in life.
Like GP for example, it makes you aware of the events that are happening not only locally or regionally, but also globally. It shows, or rather, teaches you the human reactions when such event occurs, and the implications it incurred, and the magnitude of it.
It is amazing how much knowledge we can gain by reading an everyday substance: the papers.
Okay.
I'm getting all nerdy.
Besides that, the CCAs are really fine. And so are the PE lessons- unless you are Ilyas. Or someone like him. Or someone above his weight class. Or...
You get what I mean.
There are many more things about JC than stress.
It is, first and foremost an education institution.
Duh.
It facilitates holistic education that benefits you in the future.
It is filled with smart-asses from row a to row z.
That, in itself will awaken the inner dilligent you that has been hiding all this while. And eventually, you will subconsciously change your attitude both in studies and in your perspectives also.
JC matures you.
And makes you want to work hard.
Because you don't really have a choice.
I sound like I am promoting JC.
God.
I hope not.
I miss MAA, though. A lot. The people, especially. Bells a ringing, you never stop calling.

This is just a random talk. Muah. Love you, you.

Lights Out.
